Contracts Administrator / Quantity Surveyor
RM2,500 – RM4,000

  • Conduct contractors’ evaluation with proper records compilation for each contract, keep management update on what contractors can or cannot do
  • Managing contractor sourcing processes, from pre-qualification, bidding, tender negotiation, short listing, award recommendation to management until award contracts
  • Monitor & review contracting strategies, contracting plans, contracts package bidding list and others contract related documents
  • Monitor changes to designs and variations work to manage the costs
  • Handle progress claims, variation orders, omission and final accounts for contractors 
  • Preparation and compilation of tender documents for submission
  • Taking off quantity, costing & build up rates 
  • Review contract drawings and documents to highlight deviation
  • Manage and monitor contractual issues for ongoing projects 
  • Attend site measurements, site meetings and site visits 
  • Coordinate with other departments for specific requirements and important interfacing requirements in the general terms of contracts
  • Monitor & ensure the relevant contract requirements such as Bank Guarantee (BG) for performance bond / insurance are completed for each contract
  • Managing contracts renewal processes, from reviewing performance evaluation details scope of works, examine amendments to contracts until the new contract signoff
  • Ensure that proper documentation are kept and made available as and when required. 
  • Ensure that payments to contractors are processed to enable timely receipt in accordance to the terms of contracts 
  • Managing the claims form contractors and penalties charge against the contractors 
  • Improve clients relationship by providing timely and accurate responses to their inquiries and represent company with professionalism 
  • Ensure the terms and condition of project contracts are appropriate for the company with commercial risks identified 
  • To assist any other ad-hoc matters as and when required

Job Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent. 
  • At least 2 to 3 years working experience in the related field
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of people
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Bahasa Malaysia
  • Strong in managing own works and follow up with issues / deadline
  • Meticulous and systematic in organizing own work processes
