Mac’s international involvement in theatre lighting design has taken him around the world. His exposure in international theatres has further established his credentials. His works in lighting design and theatre production had spread over Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, USA, South Africa and Australia.

Since 2002, Mac has received many awards in Malaysia and Singapore to celebrate his works in stage lighting design. In 2006, he was awarded the National Arts Awards Malaysia for his achievement in Theatre Design and he has been Singapore’s Lighting Designer for the Singapore National Parade from 2009 till 2012. In the Entertainment Technology industry, Mac has always been a pioneer in many areas; he was responsible for the introduction and design of the first flexible rigging grid system at klpac, as well as the first to implement EtherCon, PowerCon and OpticalCon Systems in Malaysia.

He is a proud member of OISTAT (International Organization of Theatre Architects, Scenographers and Technicians) under UNESCO.
